Storm aftermath: 'No damage' to Barmouth trains

Two trains stranded in Barmouth as a result of the recent storms will be checked by safety experts before being put back into use, according to Arriva Trains Wales.

They are being driven by lorry to the Chester depot.

The decision has been made to move the units as they have been stranded at Barmouth station since the rail track was damaged during the storms on January 3.

There was no damage to the units by the storm.

The units will undergo routine safety checks and will be put back into operation elsewhere on the network.
