South Wales Police says 46 suspected drug dealers have been arrested after a series of raids in Cardiff. Another woman has been arrested for possession of CS spray.
South Wales Police says 46 suspected drug dealers have been arrested after a series of raids in Cardiff. Another woman has been arrested for possession of CS spray.
Cardiff Council and the local health board have been involved with Operation Foxtrot - which has lead to the arrest of dozens of suspected drug dealers in the capital.
The council says it hopes local people are reassured by "the work which is being done to tackle drug dealing in their neighbourhoods."
Cardiff & Vale University Health Board says the crackdown has disrupted the supply of drugs, which will "hopefully provide users with the catalyst they need to seek treatment".
The impact of drug dealing within our communities cannot be underestimated. The affect that it has on people’s lives and the environment can be devastating.
I am really pleased that the operation has been successful and provides reassurance to those communities about the work which is being done to tackle drug dealing in their neighbourhoods.

Operation Foxtrot has disrupted the regular supply of Class-A drugs in Cardiff which will hopefully provide users with the catalyst they need to seek treatment.
Throughout the operation, drug support services have been proactive in offering help and support to drug users and this will continue.
