A nurse who was present at a birth which left a baby with brain damage has been struck off. Noah Tyler died before he reached his first birthday. Last month a panel decided that Julie Louise Richards was a risk to the public.
The panel chair Richard Davies said Ms Richards showed "lamentable inattention" during the birth of Noah Tyler and that the insight she had learnt from supervision was "too little, too late".
Although Ms Richards wasn't there for the decision, she had written to the panel to say that she remained committed to nursing, returning to practise and that she expressed remorse.
She has 28 days to appeal the decision.
