Dorothy Squires remembered

A plaque has been unveiled in Llanelli at the former home of Dorothy Squires, who became one of Britain's most popular singers in the 1950s. She died in 1998. A play about her life is also being staged at Sherman Cymru in Cardiff.

A plaque has been unveiled at the former home of popular 1950s singer Dorothy Squires.
Her family settled at this house in New Road, Llanelli, in 1928.
