Hand-bikes scale Snowdonia summit
Two disabled riders have reached the summit of one of Snowdonia's highest peaks, using hand-bikes specially designed for mountains.
They were supported by crews using sand-ladders to provide traction over the most rocky sections of the trail up Cadair Idris.
Paralympian Karen Darke was the first to the summit in about six hours, followed by Adrian Disney.
Two other riders reached lower stages on the mountain - and a ride downhill again was everyone's prize.
The challenge on Saturday aimed to raise the profile of adaptive mountain biking and raise money for similar projects and charities.
