Swansea City have announced they made £15.9million in profit after tax in the second half of last year, up on £6.5million for the same period in 2011. The club said they made £14.8million from player sales.

Swansea City submit plans to expand Liberty Stadium

Swansea City says they have submitted plans to expand the Liberty Stadium and redevelop the superstore at the ground.

The club also says they plan to spend £5.5million to improve their Landore training ground.

The Liberty stadium currently has capacity for 20,532 fans.

The funds generated by the profit are invaluable bearing in mind the extent of finance needed, not only to maintain Premier League status, but for the expansion of capacity in the Liberty Stadium and the development of appropriate training facilities of a standard befitting a Premier League club.
