London 2012 stars get honours

Sir Dave Brailsford: 'It will take some getting used to'

Dave Brailsford, the British cycling director from North Wales, who has been knighted as part of the New Year Honours list, says it sounds 'weird' to be referred to as 'Sir' and 'it's going to take some getting used to.'

The 48-year-old, who's from Gwynedd, insists he's 'the lucky one' to be recognised for 'very much a team effort.' He's famous for his coaching philosophy of finding 'marginal gains', and shares a secret of his success here - 'clarity' of purpose is vital for any sports team.
