Marking 60 years of the Queen's reign, the Diamond Jubilee celebrations have centred around an extended weekend in 2012 on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June.
Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team have received special Diamond Jubilee medals in recognition of their work. 20 volunteers from the team, which operates in the Brecon Beacons and the surrounding area, were given medals by Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney MP Dai Havard.
Huw Jones, an Incident Commander with more than 30 years of service, said: "It is so important that the community recognises not only the level of professionalism the volunteers but also the fabulous support our families give us to undertake this work."
The First Minister has presented medals to troops from the 2nd Battalion, the Royal Welsh, on behalf of the Queen.
The famous estate at Plas Newydd was the setting for one of Wales' biggest Diamond Jubilee parties.
At the culmination of a weekend of Diamond Jubilee celebrations, parties have been held outdoors - and indoors - all around Wales.
