Wales’ Chief Plant Health Officer has asked all landowners, foresters and farmers to be vigilant for signs of a beetle that poses a serious threat to trees.

The "Party Tree" has been crowned Tree of the Year by the Woodland Trust after securing 17% of the overall votes.

NFU president Aled Jones and his deputy Abi Reader said in practice, the tree-planting target won't work for many farmers.
