Councils across north Wales are monitoring the weather, with some schools shut due to the adverse weather conditions affecting the UK.

People are being urged to plan ahead for their weekend journeys as more torrential rain hits Wales.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain as heavy downpours are expected to start on Saturday evening.
