North Wales Police have asked members of the public to avoid the area while the search continues.

The RNLI Conwy Lifeboat was deployed to West Shore sandbanks four days in a row, sometimes on multiple occasions, due to people in danger of being cut off.

The bomb disposal team arrived at the Anglesey beach at 5pm on Tuesday to deal with the item.
