Man charged after death of baby and father in crash
A man has been charged with causing the death of a father and his baby son in a crash on New Year's Eve. Kyle Kennedy, 29, from Grangetown, is also charged with aggravated taking a vehicle without consent, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. Simon Lewis died at the scene on Lamby Way. His baby son died after being delivered three months premature.

Man appears in court over New Year's Eve fatal crash
A driver accused of killing a father and his unborn child in a New Year's Eve crash appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday.
Kyle Kennedy, 29, is accused of stealing his girlfriend's Peugeot 307 and crashing head-on into a family travelling the other way.
Dad Simon Lewis, 33, was killed in the crash on Lamby Way, Cardiff, and his wife Amanda was forced to undergo an emergency cesarean section as she was six months pregnant. The baby boy died hours later.
Kennedy faces several charges including two of causing death by dangerous driving. He is also accused of driving without insurance, driving while disqualified, and aggravated vehicle taking without consent.
He was remanded in custody and told to next appear in court in April.

A man has been charged with causing two deaths following a crash in Cardiff on New Year's Eve.
Kyle Kennedy, 29, from Grangetown, Cardiff, has been charged with dangerous driving, aggravated taking a vehicle without consent, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
Simon Lewis from Trowbridge died when his Daihatsu Sirion collided with a Peugeot 307 on Lamby Way.
Also in the car as passengers were Simon’s pregnant wife Amanda and their three-year-old daughter Summer.
Amanda and Simon’s son was born prematurely and later died.
Kyle Kennedy will appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Police say a 29 year-old Cardiff man has been arrested following a car crash on New Year's Eve where a father died.
Simon Lewis, 33, from Trowbridge, Cardiff, died when his Daihatsu Sirion collided with a Peugeot 307 on Lamby Way.
A man arrested in connection with the collision was discharged from hospital and is now in custody at Cardiff Bay Police Station.
The 29-year-old from Grangetown has been arrested on suspicion of causing two deaths through dangerous driving, aggravated taking a vehicle without consent, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

One dead and three injured in multi-vehicle crash
A man has died and three others injured in a crash in Cardiff.
Police said four vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened at 5.30pm yesterday afternoon on Lamby Way, near Rover Way.
The crash involved a blue Peugeot 307, a white Mercedes Sprinter, a Daihatsu Sirion and a Toyota Hilux.
Anyone with information is asked to call South Wales Police on the 101 number.
