Helimeds Returns: New flying doctors in action
In a new series, we follow the developments as Wales leads the way with Consultant Doctors, specialist kit, blood and drugs.
It's a first for Britain with the new team now able to take the Accident and Emergency Department into the air and straight to the patient.
ITV Cymru Wales has had exclusive access to the action and been on board all three helicopters. These are the stories of the Welsh Helimed crews and their patients.

Helimeds 6, 5th October 2015
In the last of the series we’re back with the Welsh flying medics as they’re called to the most critically ill or injured patients in Wales.
This week on Helimeds a famous climber comes down to earth with a bump whilst abseiling in Snowdonia, presenter Andrea Byrne will be getting my boiler suit on and joining the Brecon fire crew for a training session and we’ll join them and Helimed 57 on the Brecon Beacons to rescue a young pair from carnage.

This week on Helimeds we're with the crews as they fly to Barry where a man on a moped has crashed head first into metal railings, presenter Andrea Byrne meets the porters at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff who double up as fire crew for the helipad and and we capture the dramatic scenes in the Swansea Valley after a grandmother suffers multiple knife wounds.

This week on Helimeds: a five year old boy falls 20 feet through a farm shed roof near Abersoch, a dramatic emergency call takes us to Pontypridd where a student nurse has received a massive electric shock and the North Wales crew are surprised to discover that they’ve been called to save a Lord.
