Body found in vehicle in search for missing man

South Wales Police say the body found in a vehicle in Aberdare was discovered by officers searching for a missing man from Salford.

Kenneth Davies, 61, is believed to have travelled to Aberdare on June 12.

Greater Manchester Police, which is leading the search for Mr Davies, has been informed of the discovery.

Formal identification of the body has yet to be carried out.

Police have launched an investigation after a body was been found in a parked vehicle in Gadlys Street, Aberdare.

"Enquiries are on-going so it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage" said a spokesperson for South Wales Police.
