Man charged with murder of woman in Pencoed
A 43-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman near Bridgend.
Mark Lewis Stephens was arrested after police were called to an address in Tonteg in Pencoed shortly after 5.30pm on Saturday.
The woman has been named as 67-year-old Rita Stephens.
Police say Mr Stephens has also been charged with making threats to kill. He is due to appear at Bridgend Magistrates Court this morning.
Police continue to question Pencoed murder suspect
Police are continuing to question a 43-year-old man in Bridgend after he was arrested on suspicion of the murder of a 67-year-old woman.
Officers were called to an address in Pencoed yesterday at 5.30pm.
He is being held at Queens Road police station, Bridgend.
Police have asked anyone who may have any information relating to the incident to contact them.

South Wales Police officers were called to an address yesterday afternoon in Tonteg.
The 43-year-old man was arrested and is being held at Queens Road police station in Bridgend.
