Two people have been charged with murder following the death of a 46-year-old man in Pyle.

Joanne Parkhouse Thomas, 41, and Kevin Cwyn Syms, 52, appeared at Bridgend Magistrates Court today charged with murdering Nicholas Tame.

Police were called to Monks Close in Pyle shortly after 6am on Sunday, December 7 where the body of Mr Tame, from the North Cornelly area, was discovered.

I am appealing to the local community in the Pyle area, especially in the roads surrounding Monks Close to get in touch with us if they saw or heard anything in the early hours of last Sunday morning.

This could be as innocuous as seeing someone walking the streets at around 4am to 6am. I would also like to thank the community so far for their assistance and understanding whilst we have been carrying out our investigation.

Officers are currently supporting Mr Tame's family at what is clearly a very distressing time for them. I can also confirm police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”

– DCI Peter Doyle

Both Thomas and Syms were remanded in custody to appear before Cardiff Crown on Thursday, December 11, 2014.
