Royal couple unveil plaque celebrating anniversary of refinery

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have unveiled a plaque and a painting by a local artist celebrating 50 years of the Valero oil refinery in Pembrokeshire.

The Royal couple were also presented with a model Valero fuel truck as a gift for Prince George.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in Pembrokeshire this morning, visiting the Valero oil refinery.

Kate and William will then head to Cardiff to watch Wales play Australia this afternoon.

Crowds gather for Duke and Duchess visit

Crowds are gathering in Pembrokeshire for the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today.

The Royal couple will first visit the Valero oil refinery, in what has been a difficult week for the industry in the area.

They'll then travel to Cardiff to watch Wales play Australia at the Millennium Stadium - the first game in this Autumn's international series.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in Wales today visiting an oil refinery in Pembrokeshire.

The Royal pair will then go on to watch the Wales Australia match at the Millennium Stadium in the capital.

Prince William is vice patron of the WRU and regularly attends international matches.

They will observe a Remembrance Tribute at the start of the match and meet injured servicemen.

The Duchess of Cambridge, pregnant with the couple's second child, has cancelled some Royal engagements over the last few months after suffering with acute morning sickness.
