In this episode (last of the summer series): Andrew is in Cardigan getting to grips with Seine net fishing, a traditional way of fishing.

He also goes foraging with local wild food expert Jade Mellor, and cooks on Poppit Sands beach just over the border in Pembrokeshire.

Ruth visits a Blaenavon Cheddar company to prepare their Pwll Mawr cheese.

Coast & Country is back with a new series on Friday, March 21st at 8pm on ITV Cymru Wales.

In this episode:

Andrew Price learns about life on a smallholding as he spends time with husband and wife team Fiona and Rob Park. He'll be meeting some new baby piglets and learning about the rare breeds kept on the farm.

Ruth will be walking the hills above Penmaenmawr in North Wales, a town where notable Victorians such as Prime Minister William Gladstone would come to relax. All in all it's a walk of about three miles, starting at Bryn Derwydd on an upward section of the path, towards Graiglwyd.

The walk skirts the North Eastern edge of the Carneddau range.

Hannah Thomas will be at 'the best primestock event in the UK', The Royal Welsh Winter Fair.

Held every year at the Llanelwedd showground in Builth Wells, it's a chance for the agricultural community to get together.

In tonight's episode, Hannah Thomas visits the Royal Welsh Winter Fair at the Llanelwedd showground in Builth Wells.

It's a smaller affair than the Royal Welsh Show which is held in the Summer, but still attracts thousands of people.

It proclaims itself to be the 'best primestock event in the UK', and is seen more as a chance for the countryside community to get together rather than a showcase.

Hannah meets some of the farmers there, and gets into the festive spirit.

Also in tonight's programme, Ruth Wignall visits a 'Druid's Circle' as she continues her journey along the Wales Coast Path.

In tonight's episode, our presenter Andrew Price is at Cwmcrwth Farm near Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire.

He gets a taste of what it's like to run a small-holding, and meets some of the animals that live there, including some rare breeds and some new baby 'Oxford Sandy and Black' piglets.

This particular breed of pig has existed for over 300 years, but their numbers have been in decline.

However thanks to breeders like Rob & Fiona Park who run Cwmcrwth Farm, they've been saved from extinction.

Andrew Price heads to Anglesey where he harvests, cleans and cooks mussels on the banks of the Menai Strait.

Showing him how it’s done is Shaun Krijnen from Menai Oysters, a shellfish farmer who has been growing mussels and oysters for 13 years. Fantastic food in a beautiful location.

Mynydd Cilan is Ruth Wignall’s destination this week as she continues her journey along the Wales Coast Path.

She’s joined by Dave Lamacraft from Plantlife Cymru. He knows this landscape and it’s plants inside out having spent hours walking the rugged heathland. They also visit the site of a trial mine apparently dug by Cornish miners searching for Manganese.

Nicola Hendy takes to the waters of Llandegfedd Reservoir on a Stand-Up Paddleboard under the guidance of Mike Walking from Gwent Adventures. It’s not long until she’s off paddling around the reservoir, relaxing and enjoying the scenery as she goes.

The history chef and Carl Edwards head to Kidwelly Castle to cook cherry pottage.

They also discover the legend of Princess Gwenllian from head custodian Sonja Brown.

Modern version

900g ripe red cherries

1.5 cups red wine (non alcoholic can be used)

3/4 cup of honey or raw sugar

4 tbsp butter

1 cup of breadcrumbs

Flower heads of clove pinks

On tonight's Coast & Country, our reporter Nicola Hendy is in Gwent getting a lesson in one of Britain’s fastest growing watersports - stand-up paddleboarding.

She has a lesson, and discovers the beautiful Llandegfedd Reservoir.

Just eight miles from Newport, it’s a special conservation area and a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

She spends time with Steve Hartley of the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre and learns all about the behaviour of the dolphins that live there.
