Two men arrested after Cardiff stabbing

South Wales Police have arrested two local males aged 21 and 20, after reports of a stabbing in the Roath area of Cardiff this afternoon.

The incident happened on Tin Street.

A man was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, with a wound to his chest at around 3pm.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and he's in a stable condition.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

Officers are looking for two men who are believed to be involved in the assault and known to the victim. A police cordon is in place to allow for forensic examination, CCTV is being checked to identify those responsible.

Detectives are conducting house to house enquiries this evening and extra patrols will continue.

Armed police attended the location as a precaution to ensure the safety of the public and officers.
