Bus parade to celebrate Newport County's promotion

Newport County will celebrate their promotion to the football league with an open-top bus parade through the city later today.

The bus will leave Rodney Parade at 6pm and travel along Corporation Road, Clarence Place and up to the Civic Centre for a drinks reception.

The bus will leave the Civic Centre at 7pm and return to Rodney Parade where Newport's Mayor, Councillor John Guy, will present the club with a framed scroll congratulating them on their achievement.
