X Factor in Cardiff

Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and new judge Nicole Scherzinger are bringing the 2012 X Factor auditions to a close in Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena today.

Thousands of hopefuls turned out in March to audition for their place in this years series.

Auditions have taken place throughout the UK including Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and London.

This series will be the ninth in the programme's history

Following this afternoon’s auditions it will be onto bootcamp for the lucky remaining hopefuls, which will take place later in the summer.
