A man from Barry has died in a motorbike crash in Thailand.

Corey Beavis, 28, described as a 'beautiful boy', died on Saturday, 4 January.

In a tribute to him, Corey's family described him as a "genuine person with nothing but love for the people around him. Corey lit up any room he walked into with his larger-than-life character and his infectious laugh.

"He had so much left to give this world, but also lived a life 10 times beyond his wildest imagination. He was a real genuine person with nothing but love for the people around him.

"As a family we’ve suffered immeasurable loss and now have to face the realities of repatriation and laying our beautiful boy to rest. Having not had travel & life insurance policies in place, the significant costs surrounding this are unimaginable."

A fundraiser set up by his family has already raised more than £30,000.

The Foreign Office confirmed it was supporting the family of a British man who died in Thailand. It said it is in contact with the Thai authorities.
