A fire has broken out at a Greggs bakery in Cardiff city centre.

Emergency services are in attendance at the bakery on St John Street.

EVAC Cardiff, a Twitter account managed by Cardiff Council, is urging people to avoid the area.

Images of the scene that have been shared on social media show the area has been cordoned off with multiple fire engines at the scene.

"Hoping all the staff are safe", said one Twitter user.
