A 'serious crash' has occurred on a busy road in the capital with 'significant' emergency services at the scene.

The incident occurred on the junction of Cowbridge Road East and Llandaf Road in Cardiff.

The road is currently closed in both directions between Llandaff Road and Leckwith Road.

It will remain closed for some time with delays expected.
