Abergele hit and run crash: 63-year-old man named as Ieuan Richard Williams
A 63-year-old man who died after being hit by a car in Abergele has been named as Ieuan Richard Williams from Pensarn.
Emergency services attended the incident on the A548 in Pensarn on Saturday November 20 and took the man to hospital where he later died.
Three people were arrested after a black BMW was found near the incident.
A 22-year-old man from Highbridge in south west England, a 19-year-old youth from Rhyl and an 18-year-old youth also from Rhyl – have all been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the black BMW travelling from Rhyl towards Pensarn between 9.30 pm and 9.40 pm on Saturday 20th November.
Sergeant Emlyn Hughes of the North Wales Roads Policing Unit said: “Our deepest condolences are with Mr Williams’ family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“We continue to appeal for witnesses and would like to speak to anybody who may have seen a black BMW travelling from Rhyl towards Pensarn between 9.30pm and 9.40pm to come forward. Equally, anybody with dash cam or CCTV footage is urged to contact us.
“We’d also like to thank everybody who has contacted us so far.”
