'I'm A Celeb': How Abergele is getting ready for its time in the spotlight
Ahead of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, ITV Wales has taken a stroll around Abergele, to see how locals and visitors are getting into the I'm A Celeb spirit.
Last year's lockdown meant you could only watch the show on television or online, however, this year you can actually visit the I’m a Celebrity town - which is what Keeley and Claire from the Wirral were doing.
"We've had our photos taken, we've sat on the throne", it's been great."
While other towns may be thinking about Christmas decorations, in Abergele, many are showcasing their ant and decorations.
At the local butcher's, every celebrity gets his or her own flavoured sausage, which gets put to a public vote.
Colwyn Bay-based upholsterer Craig Hughes is in charge of upholstering the I'm a Celeb throne this year, and as with the rest of the town, he's just working with the opportunities that have landed in his lap.
Craig told ITV Wales: "They could have picked better chairs for me to work on to start with.
"They gave me a pig's ear and then said can you make a silk purse out of this?
"I did what I could and I think they're impressed with it. They've not complained anyway."
ITV confirmed the ten stars who will brave the cold and rain in this series of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! earlier this week.
The famous faces to grace our screens this year will include pop stars, breakfast TV hosts, actors from our favourite soaps - and even a Strictly judge.
