Man charged after alleged stabbing in Cardiff city centre leaves two in hospital

A 19 year old man's been charged by police after an alleged stabbing in Cardiff city centre this Friday.

The incident occurred at around 4:30pm on Friday 5 November. Police were called after a disturbance was reported on St Mary's Street, Cardiff.

Two people are in hospital being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The 19-year-old man from Cathays has been charged with assault and possession of a bladed article. He will appear before magistrates on Monday.

Superintendent Jason Rees said: “Tackling knife crime is a priority for South Wales Police and we want to hear from anyone who has information about this incident."
