Woman, 23, charged with death by dangerous driving after child dies in Llanelli crash

A 23-year-old woman has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a child was killed in a two-car crash in Llanelli.

The collision took place at the Heol Goffa crossroads at around 9pm on Friday 8 October.

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that a child, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash and that specialist officers are continuing to provide support to the familyinvolved.

The incident involved a blue 3 series BMW and a blue Vauxhall Vectra however Lucy Dyer was travelling in a separate car to the child.

There were no other casualties.

The woman was arrested in connection with the incident and has now been charged with two different offences.

Police said the 23-year-old is due to appear at Llanelli Magistrates Court on Monday, October 11.

Lucy Dyer was also charged with drink driving and has been remanded in custody.
