All Around Britain: On top of the world at one of the UK's most iconic sporting venues
This week on All Around Britain Ria Hebden and Alex Beresford visit one of the UK’s most iconic sporting venues and get to experience it from a different perspective.
Principality Stadium has hosted more than five hundred major events, including Grand Slam showdowns, Champions League finals and some of the globe’s biggest music stars - but it's the venue’s roof that makes it especially unique.
Made from eight thousand tonnes of steel and taking twenty minutes to open, the stadium has the largest retractable roof in Europe.
Ria and Alex are granted exclusive access to climb up and take in the Cardiff skyline.
Also in this week's programme, the pair meet Wales and Bristol Bears rugby sensation, Elinor Snowsill, to try their hand at some passing and tackling.
The presenters then meet the stadium’s most unusual member of staff, Ennis, to help scare away any seagulls and pigeons threatening the fan’s clean seats.
All Around Britain showcases more of the ITV regional newsroom’s feel good stories - including a trip to Piel Island and meeting the glass blower reflecting black history through art.
