Man, 29, appears in court charged with murder of Jade Ward in Shotton
A man has appeared in court accused of the murder of a 27-year-old woman in Shotton, Deeside.
Russell Marsh, 29, of Chevrons Road, Shotton, was remanded in custody by a special court at Mold. He is accused of killing his ex-wife Jade Ward, also known as Jade Marsh.
The mum of four was found dead at a property on Chevrons Road, Shotton, just before 9:20am on August 26.
Marsh spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth during the short hearing.
The magistrates' chairwoman said he would appear at Mold Crown Court on Wednesday. Details of the case were not outlined.
On Saturday a balloon release was held on Chevrons Road in memory of Jade, which was organised by her devastated sister Taylor Wesley.
Ms Wesley said: "There were loads of people, I would say a couple of hundred. It was a great turnout. I cried my eyes out and sobbed all the way through.
"She would have been so proud and it shows just how loved she was."
