Teenager in hospital after assault involving eight boys in Cardiff park
A teenager is in hospital following an assault involving around eight boys at a Cardiff park.
South Wales Police said the 14-year-old was assaulted at around 6pm on Sunday near the play area in Llandaff Fields, Pontcanna.
He suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
An investigation is underway and officers are appealing for witnesses.
A police spokesperson said: "A group of around eight male youths was seen to assault the victim who suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
"There will be a raised police presence in the area and officers will be carrying out increased patrols throughout Llandaff Fields.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this assault or who has any information which will help us identify those who were responsible to contact us quoting reference 2100295989."
