Police warn people to avoid entrance to Cardiff's Bute Park after area is cordoned off

A section of the park has been cordoned off following an "earlier incident."

Police have sectioned off an area of Bute Park in Cardiff following an "earlier incident."

Access to the park from Sophia Gardens has been cordoned off with South Wales Police warning members of the public to avoid the area while officers carry out their investigations.

Police are carrying out investigations following the incident

The cordon is in place near Servini's Cafe beside the bridge which crosses the River Taff.
