Staff and customers evacuated as newly opened restaurant catches fire in Penarth
Fire crews have been battling a blaze at a restaurant in Penarth that opened just two weeks ago.
Staff and customers were forced to evacuate The Deck in Penarth Marina when the fire broke out.
South Wales Police say no casualties have been reported and they are asking people to avoid the area.
Cardiff South and Penarth MP Stephen Doughty has thanked emergency services for their "swift" action.
The restaurant, which was previously known as Pier 64, had recently opened as coronavirus restrictions were lifted in Wales.
