Glider pilot airlifted to hospital after crashing in Rhossili

A rescue operation is underway after a glider pilot crash landed in Gower.

Emergency services were alerted at approximately 13:15 BST after the incident below Rhossili Down.

The South Wales Ambulance Service said they sent one rapid response car, one emergency ambulance and three vehicles from the Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene.

The pilot has been airlifted to Morriston Hospital in Swansea and their Injuries are not thought to be life threatening according to the Ambulance Service.
