No new coronavirus deaths reported across Wales meaning total stays at 1,548
There were no new reported deaths from coronavirus in Wales in the last 24 hours meaning the total remains at 1,548.
There were another 43 confirmed cases of the virus reported in the country. Those figures means that the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 is now at 17,030.
The real number is expected be much higher.
The latest figures were released by Public Health Wales and mark the third day this week where zero coronavirus deaths have been reported.
This comes after it was announced that the food box scheme for vulnerable people in Wales will not return if another shielding period is introduced in the country.
The Welsh Government set aside £15m for the scheme in the spring and each box costs between £31 and £35.
Wales' chief medical officer, Frank Atherton, announced that shielding will be paused from 16 August.
