No new coronavirus deaths reported in Wales as total remains at 1,547
There have been no new reported deaths from coronavirus in Wales according to the latest daily statistics from Public Health Wales - marking the seventh day in the past few weeks with zero reported.
The number of people who have died after testing positive for the virus remains at 1,547.
Fifteen new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed bringing the total number to 16,943, although the number of people with the virus is expected to be higher as not everyone gets tested.
This comes as lockdown restrictions continue to be eased as parks and outdoors gyms can reopen from today.
Dr Giri Shankar, from Public Health Wales, said there has also been no new cases of coronavirus linked with the outbreak at the 2 Sisters food processing plant on Anglesey, leaving the total at 221 cases.
He added that at Rowan Foods factory in Wrexham, there have been 309 recorded cases and 139 at the meat processing plant in Merthyr. Dr Shankar said more updates on the cluster in south Wales would be issued in the coming days.
