'Do not unchain the kraken' and other strange signs have appeared across the Rhondda
Comical roadside signs and litter warnings have appeared across the Rhondda in south Wales thanks to an group of anonymous artists.
Most of the signs are in Tonypandy, the most noticeable being near McDonald's and Asda.
The sign near the entrance to the supermarket and fast-food restaurant reads: "McDonald's for when you need something to throw out the car window."
Another one further up the road, on the approach to Ystrad reads: "Beware of clowns throwing rubbish."
The signs also warn of the dangers of the waters in the area. One, at Clydach Lake, warns against no cage diving, with an image of a shark.
Another image shows a warning sign emerging from the water, which reads: "Do not unchain the kraken."
Another sign reads: "Ball games may be played, but for safety reasons not enjoyed."The signs are the work of anonymous art collective, Three Dumb Fighters, also known as 3DF.
Photographer Andrew Groom, who took images of the signs around the different sites, described them as "some silly, some serious and some surreal".
