Brains executive says pubs in Wales being told they can reopen is ‘frustrating’’ without guidelines
The Welsh Government has announced plans for pubs to reopen outdoors from July 13th.
For those in the industry there was one thing missing. The government haven’t published the guidelines to help with that reopening.
Alistair Darby is the Chief Executive of Brains Brewery who are connected to more than 200 pubs in Wales and the South West.
He says it’s "frustrating" not having those guidelines as the industry tries to workout how to open and that they are having to take a "pretty well-informed guess." The Welsh Government says the guidelines are being "urgently reviewed with the sector" and that the information being published by UK Hospitality gives a "good sense of direction."
