Anti-devolution party chooses new leader
The anti-devolution party 'Abolish the Welsh Assembly' has chosen a new leader with the promise of a rebrand ahead of next year's planned election.
Richard Suchorzewski has until now been the party's chair and takes the reigns from its co-founder Jonathan Harrington.
The new leader runs a business in the Vale of Glamorgan.
He'd previously been a member of the Conservative party and later UKIP. He came second in the 2006 contest in which Nigel Farage first became leader.
It's not yet clear if the promised rebrand will reflect the fact that the term 'Assembly' is no longer in use. The institution is now know as Senedd Cymru or the Welsh Parliament.
The latest Welsh Political Barometer pollshows 'Abolish' could have the support of 4% of voters on the regional list element of next year's election, not enough to gain a seat in the Senedd chamber.
The party does now have a councillor after the Powys councillor Claire Mills defected from the Conservatives. It's also been working with former UKIP MS, Gareth Bennett who has said he may or may not join.
