Wales sees lowest daily number of coronavirus deaths since lockdown began
Another four people with coronavirus have died in Wales, bringing the total to 1,207.
Today's figure is the lowest number of daily deaths in Wales since lockdown began on March 23rd.
Public Health Wales also said a further 101 cases of the virus had been reported today.
There have been 12,404 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Wales so far, but the real number is likely to be higher as not everyone with symptoms has been tested.
Today's figures come as the UK adds loss of smell and taste to the coronavirus symptoms list.
Dr Giri Shankar, incident director for the coronavirus outbreak response at Public Health Wales, said: “New guidance on Covid-19 symptoms has been issued from the four UK Chief Medical Officers. From today, all individuals should self-isolate if they develop at least one of the following coronavirus symptoms: a new continuous cough or fever or loss of smell or taste (anosmia).
“Anosmia is the loss or a change in your normal sense of smell. It can also affect your sense of taste as the two are closely linked. The individual’s household should self-isolate for 14 days as per the current guidelines and the individual should stay at home for seven days, or longer if they still have symptoms other than cough or loss of sense of smell or taste.
