Debenhams department store in Merthyr Tydfil to close permanently

The Debenhams store in Merthyr Tydfil will be closed permanently after it failed to come to an agreement with the landlord of the building.

A spokesperson for the department store said the Merthyr Tydfil store was 'unable to agree appropriate terms with the landlord of the building' and would not be reopening.

They also said that the company would be working with staff to support them through the process.
