Police fine group who travelled 120 miles to the beach - only to get stuck in the sand
A group of campers were fined hundreds of pounds after driving more than 120 miles to a beach in Tenby during lockdown - only to get their car stuck in the sand.
The group had travelled from Hereford for a trip to the beach, where they were later fined £430 by police, after it was deemed their trip was not essential.
It is not the first time that groups have been fined for travelling long distances across Wales to beauty spots during lockdown.
The group had removed signs blocking the entrance to the beach and car park, that said it was closed, before getting stuck.
For weeks, car parks at beaches and beauty spots in Wales have beenclosed to make it clear that people should be staying at home and onlytravelling when essential.
