Bridgend shop worker injured by what is 'believed' to be crossbow during attempted robbery
A shop worker has been injured by what is "believed" to be a crossbow during an attempted armed robbery.
Officers were called to the scene in Bryncethin, Bridgend, at around 7pm on Monday April 27.
South Wales Police said the female worker received "minor injuries" after "she was struck by a missile - believed to have been from a crossbow" at Blackmill Shop on Blackmill Road.
A man and a woman, both aged 34, were arrested shortly after and are in custody following the incident.
They have been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery. The man has also been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
Officers have recovered a weapon and are not currently looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101.
