'Being isolated is hard and it is harming our wellbeing' - Public Health Wales launch COVID-19 mental health initiative
Public Health Wales has launched a new campaign to try and support those that have seen their mental health affected negatively by COVID-19.
It comes as the UK enters the fourth week of isolation under government guidelines and recent studies suggest that anxiety peaked across the UK as a result of the lockdown.
Dr Tracey Cooper, Chief Executive of Public Health Wales has said that she hopes the public interact with the campaign to help protect them in the future.
Dr Cooper went on to say "We want people to understand that it’s okay to ask for help and support for our social, mental and physical well-being and know that we are here to help everyone during these difficult times.”
In response to the concerns over national mental health, Public Health Wales has launched a new site.
On the site, the public can find information offering practical support for people who may be affected and it also provides useful links to charities and support groups.
