Nurse says testing in Wales is a 'postcode lottery and delays are putting lives at risk'
A nurse from North Wales is calling for faster testing for frontline workers with coronavirus symptoms.
Speaking anonymously to ITV Wales, she said "it's disgraceful and unfair as it risks the lives of those in my care"
She had the symptoms for seven days before receiving a test. She's been told she will have to wait another 48-72 hours for the results.
Earlier this week, the Health Minister announced a testing centre would be developed in the North, but disclosed it would take another 10 days to get the facility ready.
However, Angela Burns AM, the Shadow Health Minister said ten days is too long and urged the Government to speed up the roll out of a testing centre in North Wales.
In response, the Welsh Government said they want to get test results back to people as fast as possible.
The First Minister, Mark Drakeford said, "there's no geographical distinction in how tests are processed."
