Poll shows Welsh support for UK Govt's handling of coronavirus crisis
An exclusive poll for ITV Wales shows a big leap in support from Welsh voters for the UK Government's handling of the coronavirus crisis. The percentage of people who think that ministers in London are doing well has gone up from 45% in the last poll three weeks ago to 59% now.
Approval of the Welsh Government's actions has also gone up from 29% to 41%. Just 30% think ministers in Wales are actually handling the crisis badly and that's less than the 36% who are unimpressed by the UK Government's efforts.
But nearly everyone has a view about the UK Government, nearly a third just don't know what to think about how ministers here are faring. In an interview for tonight's Wales This Week, the First Minister says it can be a struggle to get his government's message across.
Poll reveals Welsh fears about death or serious illness from coronavirus
Mark Drakeford AM told Wales This Week, "We work very hard both by appearing on programmes like this, but also putting out information on our own website, through Public Health Wales and so on, so people in Wales can have trusted sources of information."
You can see that interview in a special edition of Wales This Week, tonight at 7pm, when more of the poll's findings will be revealed.
YouGov polled 1,009 Welsh adults between 3-7 April 2020.
