Katherine Jenkins and Dame Vera Lynn will duet on ‘We'll Meet Again' in aid of NHS workers

Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins has revealed she and Dame Vera Lynn will join forces to duet on, 'We'll Meet Again' in honour of our "superhero NHS workers and their families".

She said that all proceeds will be going to the NHS Charities Together.

During the Queen’s address to the nation on 5 April, in response to the coronavirus crisis, the monarch referenced the song's famous lyric, saying “We will meet again."

Following this, the wartime classic had a 209% rise in streams on Spotify and rose hundreds of places on the iTunes chart.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Katherine Jenkins said the NHS Charities Together provides food and pays for car parking for NHS staff and volunteers. She said it will also help them with their mental health and support after the crisis.

Last month, Katherine Jenkins performed a live Facebook concert for people staying at home during the coronavirus outbreak.
