NHS workers create music video to Aretha Franklin’s ‘Respect’ to spread awareness
The team at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil have released a video of staff dancing to Aretha Franklin's 'Respect'.
The A&E team came up with the idea for the dance to help staff with morale.
They chose the song 'Respect' to emphasise that people should be respecting social distancing guidelines and respect the work that hospital staff are doing.
The video features staff dancing around the hospital in their uniforms, including one worker in a hazmat suit.
A spokesperson from Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board said: "The message people should take away from this video is about respecting our NHS, supporting the teams and social distancing."
They added, "It's really important people follow the advice and look after themselves and the NHS."
They said the response to the video has been amazing and it has "really helped the team" to see how popular it was over the weekend, with more than 20,000 views.
