Wales sees highest number of coronavirus-related deaths as cases rise to 1,837
Twenty nine more people have died after testing positive for coronavirus in Wales, taking the total number of deaths in the country to 98.
It is the highest number of deaths to be recorded so far with 274 more confirmed cases of the virus across the country.
The total number in Wales is now at 1,837.
Public Health Wales says the true number of cases is "likely to be higher."
On Tuesday, the number of new cases was lower than on Monday, but Public Health Wales said today's increase ''reflects a combination of a true increase in numbers, along with additional cases reported from the previous reporting period.''
Public Health Wales confirmed deaths within the community, and not just in hospitals, are now included in the figures.
“Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is now circulating in every part of Wales.'' Dr Rowe from Public Health Wales said.
''We know that staying at home can be hard, and we want to thank each and every person across Wales for doing their bit to help slow the spread of the virus.”
