Firefighters plead with people to stop starting deliberate fires

Firefighters are appealing for people to stop starting deliberate fires after crews across Wales were called out overnight.

A senior fire safety officer for North Wales Fire and Rescue has asked people to think about the consequences of the "completely unacceptable" behaviour.

North Wales firefighters dealt with seven blazes overnight, four of which were started near Llangefni.

In Swansea, South Wales Fire and Rescue had a busy night dealing with a fire on Kilvey Hill.

They also attended two suspected deliberate refuse fires on Tuesday morning.

They say it's wasting time and resources that they could be using on other emergencies.
